mandate and decision process, the site describes the instruments and mechanisms through which the UN System as a whole, in dialogue with the government, civil society associations and donors strives towards the achievement of the two strategic objectives, namely poverty and inequality reduction and HIV/AIDS containment. Some history and recent events, including an overview of the long presence of the UN in Namibia and its support for Namibian independence as far back as 1946.The site also includes links with the headquarters home page of each agency, thus enlarging the information available and facilitating its access.
